Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate, Gastroenterology, on the Full Time Clinical Faculty pathway with an approximate 80:20 contribution to clinical service and academic pursuits.
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time clinical faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. This position will be at the Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate level commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch and the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UW.
Fred Hutch and UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The position will focus primarily on ambulatory clinical care of patients with gastroenterological malignancies at a world-renowned comprehensive cancer center. The Gastroenterology team is committed to providing outstanding patient care, advanced by cutting edge research trials. The position may also involve participation in the administrative, research, and instructional activities of the Clinical Research Division. Teaching responsibilities involve oversight of trainees during outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, and lectures. The position will be based at the South Lake Union main campus, but there is the possibility that the incumbent could see patients at one of Fred Hutch’s community clinics. Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to recruit and care for trial patients.
The primary, annual appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $411,600.00 - $443,704.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank and from $438,767.00 - $470,340.00 for faculty hired at the Clinical Associate Professor rank. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience.
This position is eligible for relocation assistance and/or sign-on bonus.
