  We are currently looking for an experienced RN to work on one of our Neurology units.  Patients are primarily adult neurology and neurosurgery patients.   The population on Lunder 7 often receives the head and spinal trauma patients and patients with strokes.  Nurses become fluent with care of the patient who requires mechanical ventilation, external cerebral spinal fluid drainage, chest tubes, acute neuro assessment, and palliative care.   

The neuro ICU is a 22 bed adult inpatient unit specializing in caring for critically ill patients who have a variety of neurological diagnoses including stroke, brain hemorrhage, brain or back surgery, heal trauma or spinal cord injury.  Our unit-based research efforts are among the best in the world and have afforded us the ability to provide patients with bedside CT scans. Patients may require life support systems, including mechanical ventilation for unstable respiratory status and/or medication via continuous infusion to maintain cardiovascular status.
