Working within the Department of Internal Medicine team the per diem nurse practitioner provides clinical coverage on Fridays and other days of the week as necessary.  Responsibilities include conducting admission H&Ps, consulting for medical and/or advanced nursing issues for inpatient, residential and outpatient psychiatric patients, providing emergency care as needed.  This position requires someone with excellent assessment, diagnostic reasoning and care planning, including prescribing therapies and/or medications.    Two weekends a month and Tues and Thursday coverage.
