Wound Specialist (RN) - Home Health King County
The Registered Nurse Wound Specialist is responsible for providing evaluation, nursing services, consultation and education for staff regarding wound care. Functions independently and/or in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team based on the patient's identified needs. Practice is within the scope defined by the Washington State Nurse Discipline Practice Act, based on the nursing process model and concept of community health nursing therapy.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
-
Current Washington State Registered Nursing License
-
Current Washington State Driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured, reliable vehicle
-
Current Provider BLS certification
-
2 years full time experience practicing as a registered nurse
-
1 year recent (within last three years) clinical experience
-
Experience as a wound specialist
Preferred qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
-
WOCN certification or wound specialist certification
-
Graduate from an accredited WOCN program and have current WOCN license -OR- Licensed as Wound Care Specialist or Enterostomal Therapist
-
Experience in a Medicare-certified Homecare or Hospice agency/facility
