Department Overview
The Ambulatory Infusion Clinics provide infusion and injection services to patients referred from a variety of specialties including Rheumatology, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology and other non-oncology service lines. The infusion staff work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidenced-based, patient centered nursing care. The fourteen ambulatory non-oncology infusion chairs at the Center for Health & Healing 1 and five infusion chairs at Immunology infusion Physicians Pavilion are open Monday to Friday. Chair/bed number ranges from 5-14 depending on site.
Department Specific Working Conditions:
- Work assignment could be scheduled at either location depending on staffing needs.
- Rotate into other assignments (conditional based on appropriate training.)

Resource rates are $56.55-$82.13 per hour, based on experience

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
- Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or the Military Training Network
- Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English
- Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools
- Previous Experience in ambulatory or infusion
- Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patients
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Department Specific Requirements (competencies, equipment, certifications, etc.):
- Completion of Infusion Nursing Society Fundamentals of Infusion therapy (FIT) modules certification during orientation period
- Record, track, and assign duties and processes to ensure appropriate billing and revenue generation, when applicable
- Ability to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Current OHSU employees: BSN preferred
Department Specific Preferences (experience, competencies, certifications, etc.):
- At least 1-2 years of hospital nursing experience with direct patient care
- Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools
- Recent Experience working in ambulatory infusion
- Certified Nurse Infusion certification.
- IV access proficiency
- Experience working with Central Lines, Port-a-cath
