Job Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities: (Including, but not limited to)
Oversight and management of 24-hour operations including In-patient unit(s), home care, satellite offices and other clinical support services.
Assures compliance with state and federal regulations for all clinical services. Fosters a culture of compliance as a normal part of daily operations in a problem-solving approach to work.
Serves as the face of BBH’s nursing practices, ensuring collaboration across all departments to ensure continued service excellence.
Maintains a positive work culture with clinical staff as measured by satisfaction surveys and general staff morale.
Plan, implement, administer, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the specific functions, services, and programs for BBH including clinical operating policies/procedures and systems in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
Performs a wide range of administrative liaison functions with community providers, organizations and leaders who will support the mission of BBH.
Proactively develops innovative initiatives designed to improve clinical productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Works collaboratively with the CFO and clinical staff in the development of a budget for clinical services, and in fiscal monitoring and management of the approved budget.
Responsible for supporting the CEO, CFO, CCO, and, other leaders in all aspects of strategic and operational planning. This includes ensuring required infrastructure is in place, and operating plans and annual implementation plans are developed and followed to meet BBH strategic goals and objectives.
Represent Big Bend Hospice (BBH) professionally at all times through care delivered and/or services provided to all clients.
Comply with all Federal, State, and local government regulations, maintaining a strong position against fraud and abuse.
Comply with all BBH policies and procedures and uphold the components and intent of the Compliance Plan.
Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
Maintain the confidentiality of patients, families, colleagues and other sensitive situations within BBH.
Promote BBH through participation in community and professional organizations.
Proactively seeks to improve own professional knowledge and skill levels.
Supports hospice research and education activities.
Shares expertise with coworkers both formally and informally.
Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
Active Florida Registered Nurse Licensure with an advanced degree.
Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in health care management.
Broad-based knowledge and skills related to health services administration.
Excellent planning, organizational, administrative, personnel and budget management skills.
Understanding, knowledge and experience in performance improvement efficiencies in a health care environment.
