This position is a .9 FTE (72 hours per 2 week pay period). This position works 12 hour shifts, every third weekend rotation, on the overnight shift.
Fairview Health Services is looking for an RN at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN on our Progressive ICU. The Progressive ICU is a 31 bed unit serving a patient population 18 years and older with moderate or potentially severe physiologic instability requiring frequent nursing assessment and intervention every 1 to 2 hours for the majority of the shift.

The Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices on a busy, fast-paced Progressive ICU. The RN will assist physicians and staff in coordinating patient care.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
