M Health Fairview Health Services is seeking Nursing Assistant at UMMC-East Bank! This position is .5 FTE (40 hours per two weeks), 8 hour shifts on the DAY shift with as needed weekends.

This position will primarily rotate  times varying between Monday through Friday, shifts could be: 630am-3pm, 800am-430pm, 9am-530pm, 11am- 730pm, 230pm-11pm and 10pm-630am. Occasional weekend shifts are 6am-230pm, 630am-3pm and 9am-530pm.

• Facilitates OR room turnover. Performs cleanup of OR
• Readies OR for next patient.
• Procures equipment
• Properly cares for equipment and takes action for preventive maintenance.
• Transports specimens and blood products.
• Transports dirty case carts to decontamination area.
• Provides Patient Care: Assists in transfer/positioning of patients.
• Assists with preparation of patients for surgery.
• Transports patient.Maintains Inventory Control.
• Orders and manages supplies as directed.
• Restocks department with supplies.
• Makes rounds to keep current inventory in stock.
• Communicates supply issues to appropriate person.
• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting above shoulder 32 lbs, lifting waist level 45 lbs, lifting below knee 40 lbs, carry waist level, balance, pushing, hearing, repetitive actions, speaking, seeing/visual.

Mental Demands: Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, frequent interruptions, decision making skills, concentration, ability to work independently, multitasking, organizational skills, working with others and frequent deadlines.
