Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Neuro/Ortho unit offers the following: 

• 32 bed unit specializing in Neurosurgical and Orthopedics with all private rooms.
• Program coordinators for Neuro and Ortho that assist with care planning and patient outcomes
• Clinical Educator support
• Craniotomy and lumbar drain placement
• Hip Arthroplasty & Hemi-Arthroplasty
• Complex Total Knee Arthroplasty & Revisions
• Spinal Surgery
• General Surgery
• Pediatric neurosurgical cases
• Telemetry capability
• Some Medical Overflow

What you will do in this role:

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director.
• The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Menorah Medical Center.
• The Registered Nurse in 615 Neuro-Ortho provides care for adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.

Qualifications:

• You should be a graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nurse program. 
• You should possess your Registered Nurse License to practice as a professional RN in the state of Kansas or an Active Multi-State RN Compact License.
• You should have a current American Heart Association BLS Certification, or obtain upon hire.
