Overview:
The Sr Sales Compensation Analyst develops, administrates, and communications incentive programs, including total compensation to Sales Leaders Participates in the development of incentive programs that support the organization's sales goals, reflect the sales culture, and maintain competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs. Includes review and recommendation of job levels and base pay as well as variable pay consisting of commissions and bonus payouts. Ensures that all compensation-related activities are in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Works collaboratively with Finance, Sales Management and Sales Strategy in support of the sales compensation process and delivers key insights on sales performance and compensation impacts. Makes recommendations regarding improving the compensation processes, focusing on improving efficiency, reducing exceptions
Responsibilities:
Provides compensation recommendations for internal candidates and external hires. Provides guidance to Sales Leadership in the administration and interpretation of salary administration policies. Reviews compensation changes in individual wages and salaries for conformance to company guidelines and conduct market analysis of groups or individuals within the company to ensure market competitiveness.
Participates in the design, development and implementation of the annual incentive compensation plan with a focus on compensation components that influence higher performance and drive key business outcomes. Ensures the preparation and distribution of annual plan documents, position summaries and communications regarding the upcoming plan year. Identifies trends in incentive compensation plan, suggesting improvements based upon data and analysis in order to maintain competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs
Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively with sales managers to deliver key insights on sales performance and compensation impacts. Supports sales management by answering detailed questions regarding compensation plans and timely review and resolution of sales issues.
Evaluates all new positions or reclassification requests for assigned division to determine appropriate salary, incentive plan, grade, FLSA status and title. Ensures the job description is measurable and an accurate reflection of duties. Conducts annual cost of labor and living analysis for assigned division to determine if positions are competitive in labor markets.
Conducts ad-hoc analysis to determine the effectiveness and appropriateness of compensation practices.
Keeps abreast of trends and changes in Human Resources legislation and makes recommendations for change to keep company practices in compliance with federal, state and local governmental agencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline - Preferred
2 years of experience in Project management experience.
5 years of experience in Salary administration and job evaluation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of experience in Sales compensation, sales strategy, sales operations, finance or a similarly applicable field.
Compensation: In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
