Riley Advisory Services offers specialty financial advisory services to lenders, law firms and other professional services firms to support complex business problems, including bankruptcy, restructuring, turnaround and crisis management, and litigation matters. Advisory services include asset-based lending appraisal and valuation, due diligence, transaction advisory, forensic accounting and fraud investigations. B. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Analysis of financial statements and preparation of financial models
2. Prepare analyses of financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation
3. Work on a team that focuses on providing due diligence services and conveys findings and opportunities to clients
4. Help clients with issues which may include out of court workouts, debt restructurings, and bankruptcy emergency planning
5. Perform complicated audits and research into the fraud, waste, and misuse of funds
6. Manage multiple forensic accounting and investigative projects
7. Prepare pitch books and background information on distressed companies
8. Other duties and special projects
Education, Experience, and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree – MBA or CPA/CPA candidate, a plus
2. 2-4 years experience in corporate finance and accounting
3. Strong writing ability required
4. Team player, with an ability to excel in a fast-paced working environment
5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize demanding projects
6. Understanding of the key operational performance drivers of a business
7. Ability to extract helpful information from sets of unorganized or incomplete data
8. Use problem solving skills to provide alternative explanations to intricate issues
9. Proficient use & analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applications
10. Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP
11. Proficient with PC systems and related software, especially Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
12. Has a strong aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis and the ability to connect business strategy to performance and due diligence findings
13. Must be willing to travel
