Responsibilities
1. Patient Care: Demonstrates consistent use of nursing process in daily practice and manages more complex patients with minimal assistance. 2. Knowledge and Skills: Identifies personal learning needs to be competent in area of practice; independently performs advanced skills; begins to assist others to develop skills using the teaching/learning process. 3. Professional Relationships/Leadership: Initiate and effectively demonstrate behaviors which result in positive patient outcomes through group process; identifies need to change own practice based on PI/QI outcomes. 4. Quality Improvement/Research: Expands understanding of research process and the specific application to nursing practice
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Research and Education at CAMC
CAMC has been a teaching hospital for nearly 50 years. On any given day, there are about 800 learners in our facilities. These include doctors and nurses, as well as a variety of other professions.
The research departments conduct, sponsor and support hundreds of clinical trials, multi-center trials and clinical and effectiveness research initiatives annually in a variety of specialty areas.
