Medical Surgical Nurses, or Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses, are required to have diverse and extensive knowledge and skills on many different aspects of nursing care in order to effectively treat patients. Skills shown on example resumes of Medical Surgical Nurses include preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications, and providing bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre-and -post surgery patients. To become a certified Medical Surgical Nurse, applicants should be able to show certification granted to them by the Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board on their resumes.
