At Mercy Hospital Springfield, we provide 24/7 access to life-saving neurological care, with the expertise and technological resources to quickly diagnose and treat stroke within one hour of arrival. Mercy Hospital Springfield is accredited as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission, designated as a Level 2 Stroke Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and has been awarded Stroke Certification by the American Stroke Association.
Our Springfield emergency room has the area’s highest designation for emergency/trauma care and the region’s only burn unit. Mercy Life Line operates five air ambulance helicopters covering more than 6,800 square miles across 14 counties.
Mercy Kids ER
Our new pediatric emergency room provides complete pediatric emergency care 24 hours a day, every day. A new dedicated drop-off route and entrance, as well as new pediatric reception, triage and waiting areas, provide faster access to care and a safe space to protect children from situations in the adult ER that might seem frightening.
Mercy patients may also participate in national clinical trials through Mercy Research. As a teaching and research facility, Mercy Hospital Springfield is helping to improve the health care experience for future generations.
