Our Concord Medical Center is a 244-licensed bed hospital that serves Contra Costa and southern Solano counties. The medical center has long been recognized as a preeminent center for cancer care and cardiac care, including open heart surgery and interventional cardiology. Other areas of specialty include general surgery, orthopedic, and neurology programs. The Concord Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), a national surveyor of quality patient care.

Visitor Information

Entrance and Parking

The main entrance to the John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center, off of Almond Avenue. Our parking lot has 82 patient and visitor parking spaces. Additional parking for patients and visitors will continue to be available behind the medical center adjacent to the Emergency Department entrance, which can be accessed along Park Ave.

Along with increased signage, an attendant is available at the main entrance parking lot to direct traffic and provide a map, if needed, to the alternate patient and visitor parking area.

    Breakfast: 7:00 to 10:00 AM, daily
    Lunch: 11:15 AM to 2:00 PM, daily
    Dinner: 5:00 to 6:45 PM, weekdays

    First floor of Concord Campus, next to Gift Shop.

9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and 4:00 to 7:00 PM, when volunteers are available

Use this online registration form for most surgeries, tests, and procedures including births, radiology (ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, x-rays), mammography, cardiac tests (angiography, EKG), endoscopy, digestive tract and eye procedures, lab work, and all preoperative tests.

Paying For Services

For your convenience, we offer a wide variety of payment options, including:

  • Discover

For amounts not collected at time of service, you may pay your bill by mail or phone. You can also conveniently pay your bill online using a credit card.

We also offer a number of patient financial assistance programs to help you cover bills for services you have received through our hospitals.

John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center was designated as a Magnet® organization in 2010 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program® for quality and excellence in nursing. The ANCC, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, re-designated the Concord Medical Center with Magnet® recognition status in 2015.

Magnet® recognition is the highest level of recognition that the ANCC can grant to a health care organization and honors our nursing staff at the Concord Medical Center as one of the best in the nation. John Muir Health, Walnut Creek Medical Center is also a Magnet® recognized facility.
